Johnny keeps his eye on Billy, who is constantly fighting with his 'enemy' schoolmate Carla Levinson.  The real trouble begins when Billy refuses to goto the Wild West Black Rodeo because he is secretly afraid of being eaten by a horse with big, long, icky nasty teeth.

 

But Billy has a change of heart about the Rodeo when his best pal. Tommy Grimes, shows him The Black Cowboy Book, featuring legendary Wild West cowboy Nat Love, otherwise known as 'Deadwood Dick.'

 

Billy, impressed, quickly changes his name,a nd transforms himself into Brooklyn New York's meanest, roughest, toughest, rootin', tootin' cowboy, 'Deadwood Billy, The Cowboy (Sort Of!). 


And the shenanigans begin.
